As someone who wants to be successful in the long-term I have decided to do a few things. First of all though I know I can't live forever, but I do want to live a long healthy life. By doing that I need to be healthy and happy. Which means good eating habits and lots of exercises. In addition to that I would like to live a comfortable life, which means I need a good and stable money, but most importantly money. You see I have done some thinking on how I can achieve both. Sadly I am no Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, so any of that out of the question. Then it came to me the military.

From a young age I have always admired people in the military. They were my heroes, the people that I looked up to. Apart from that I always thought that their uniform was pretty cool and you surely must feel special if you get to wear it. That was my child mentality back in the day. As I started to mature I realized how dumb of a reason that was. I realized that being in the military is a sacrifice and honorable, it is something life changing. I want to do something meaningful, be honorable, sacrifice for my country, and basically do something beneficial for me too. Henceforth I do want to be in the military.

I also want to go to college too, education is very important to me. So I am currently applying to Naval Reserve Training Corps(NROTC). This is a scholarship that pays for college in exchange for a certain amount of service that you must serve after you graduate. This is also very competitive, which is why I am currently training to do well on my fitness assessment.
To be honest these past few years I have been out of shape. I am currently a senior who has not ran a mile since the 8th grade. I thought I could easily fall back into it, but that is not the case. I have much to do. I train at least three times a week. Yes, my muscles ache and I cry halfway through the workout, but I am trying and I will never give up. It is my goal to do Excellent on these tests.
Awesome post Maria! I believe you will be a life long Wellness Warrior! Good luck ◡̈ -Ms. Edwards
